Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Exercise individual judgement and initiative in the application of scientific principles, techniques and methods.
• Undertake tasks requiring accuracy and adherence to prescribed methods of scientific analysis, design or computation.
• Calibrate equipment as necessary, ensure the maintenance of all quality accreditations.
• Provide accurate and timely data and reports for analysis by stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and /implementation of new test methodologies.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the relevant quality, workplace safety and test standards, including the application of all relevant MSDS’s.
• Identify non-conformances within the Laboratory Management System.
• Provide sound / reasoned technical advice to internal and external customers.
• Manage customer expectations.  

Requirements

• Min 2-4 Years of experience
• Ability to work with any new changes that might be introduced to the area or business generally.
• Adapting to change (new functional structures, new IT platforms, new ways of approaching work etc)
• Driving improved customer focused outcomes (e.g. Making internal & external customers and their needs a primary focus)
• Management of Quality systems to maintain accreditations.
• Plan and prioritise work flow to ensure completion of tests within required timelines (work with others)
• Sound knowledge of the relevant standards (including OH&S) and appropriate test methods.
• Knowledge of chemical/electrical tests pertaining to insulating media & energy sector will be of advantage.
• Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
